Background:	ING1 is a member of the Inhibitor of Growth family of nuclear-localized PhD domain containing homeodomain proteins. ING1 functions as a subunit of the PAGA complex in Arabidopsis, and its specific binding affinity for H3K4me2/3 peptides provides a molecular basis for the enrichment of H3K4me3 at PAGA-bound genes.
